Standing in one and a half acres of private walled garden in an exclusive beachfront location, there are few properties of this kind on offer in Goa. A small road meanders off the main road and winds through the coconut palm grove until it reaches the walled garden in which Rockheart stands. Step through the gate and you are transported into a cool peaceful oasis.

This beautiful house is the second home of Gita Simoes. Frank, her late husband amongst many other acclaims, is the author of a delightful book "Glad Seasons in Goa" in which he charts the quest for that "perfect acre" in which to re-establish his Goan roots and create their dream beach home, and the subsequent adventures he has building it! Gita is an artist and internationally known designer and the house is rich in style and taste as many of her own works of art are displayed together with treasured family memorabilia which adds to the ambiance.

CHARITABLE DONATIONS
Frank and Gita have always had two charitable causes close to their hearts

Sanjeevani www.voiceofchildren.org Is a home for the care and protection of girl children. Located in Mumbai, this is a charity which Gita Simoes has long been associated with and helps educate the girls while providing them with a platform to stand on their own feet.

Arc De Hope Is an old age home based right here in Goa, which Gita & Frank both helped raise awareness for, while donating generously to. Visits to the home can also be arranged by us if you are interested in meeting the residents or to see how contribution will help make a difference to their world.

As part of her on going efforts to raise social awareness for these causes Gita has pledged to donate 2% of all rental income.You will be asked to nominate which charity you wish your portion to go to during your stay in Rockheart.

During your stay you will be made welcome by the small team of staff that consists of a cleaner, a gardener/day watchman and night security so there is always somebody on the premises. To complete this homely atmosphere there are two resident family pet dogs, all very gentle and friendly, and whilst they live and remain outside are happy to let you stay in their house!
In the large and completely private garden there is wooden decking where you can sit out under the stars and there are hammocks to gently sway in the breeze for when the short walk across the garden through the gate and onto the seven km of exquisite beach proves too much!

We have negotiated for Rockheart guests complimentary use of the swimming at the neighbouring hotel just a few minutes walk away.


This is truly a perfect property for a lazyday in Goa.

Rockheart consists of a two-storey main house and an optional guest cottage.

Ground Floor:

• A magnificent L-Shaped lounge and dining room furnished with an eclectic mix of old colonial, antique and rattan furniture.This room leads directly onto
• The shady verandah through two sets of double doors which runs the full width of the house.There is additional comfy seating on the decking which extends into the garden.
• Also on the ground floor are a well equipped modern fitted kitchen and a guest cloakroom.

First Floor :

A beautiful polished wooden dogleg staircase leads to the two double bedded first floor bedrooms.

• Bedroom 1 is air-condtioned and has a large carved double four poster bed and an en suite bathroom.
• Bedroom 2 is air-condtioned and has a flexible arrangement of either a 6 foot double bed or twin singles (please request) and an en suite bathroom.

• Magnificent sea facing deep balcony which is again comfortably furnished with antique planters chairs and chaise longue.

Guest Cottage:
Bedroom 3 is adjacent to the main house in a separate delightful guest cottage, This pretty hexagonal cottage houses the third (optional) air-conditioned bedroom. It has a furnished verandah, three sets of French windows that open out on to the garden. The cottage has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom.

• Dog Lovers – Please note there are two family dogs that live around the house. They are totally harmless, affectionate and all great characters but above all they are well cared for and fully vaccinated. For many people their holiday is enhanced by their presence but if you are generally nervous of dogs or have an allergy and they could spoil your holiday please allow us to suggest an alternative ‘canine free’ property.
