Casa Do Rio is a comfortably furnished villa standing in a sea front position in a small exclusive complex of eight individually designed houses. The villa has uninterrupted views over Arabian sea and the small rocky cove opposite the house.

Reis Margos is a small fishing hamlet and its claim to fame is the Portuguese Fort that was built as an additional support to Fort Aguada to protect the mouth of the river Mandovi from enemy attack. To the modern day visitor the village is more welcoming, ideally situated half way between the beaches and restaurants of Candolim and the shops and nightlife of Panjim. This is one of the few places in Goa where the road follows the coast giving magnificent views over the sea with numerous photo opportunities. This is also a good area for birdwatching. Last season a fish eagle was nesting a few minutes away from the house and some keen birders spotted 30 different species of birds.

The house is a modern villa on two floors. It has a large first floor terrace and balconies from the master and first floor bedrooms, all with magnificent views. There are french windows from the dining room onto a small paved patio and a small plant filled garden and lawned area to the front and sides of the villa.

  CAR AND DRIVER FACILITY

  There are no taxis in the immediate vicinity of Casa Do Rio and we have therefore included a car and driver in the price to provide you with a service to and from the local beaches, shops and restaurants.

  DETAILS
  The vehicles are Maruti taxi vans that carry up to 4 passengers and luggage easily and are available courtesy of Lazydays for up to 10 hours daily between 8am and 12pm with a minimum of 1 hour for lunch (hours negotiated locally with the driver).

  EXTRAS
  Petrol: Calculated at the rate of Rs 5 per km
  Rs100: if any journey begins or ends outside the contracted hours.
  Rs50 per hour: If you require the driver for longer than 10 hours this will have to be negotiated with your driver and an hourly rate of Rs50 will be payable.
  Ferry charges: Rs.7 per crossing.
